Refund Policy

Last updated September 2026. Short version: all sales are final. Read on for why, and the one exception.

1. Why there are no refunds

Every payment on ghosted — donations, Ghosts, premium, market listings, profile signing — is made in cryptocurrency, sent directly to a wallet we control. Cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed once confirmed on-chain, so we have no technical way to send your money back even if we wanted to. This isn't a policy choice we could change by using a different payment processor; it's a property of how crypto payments work.

2. What this covers

Donations, Ghosts purchases, Premium, market (username) purchases, and profile signing are all final once your payment is verified. Virtual goods and status (Ghosts, Premium, a signed profile, a purchased username) have no cash value and are not redeemable for real currency.

3. If you sent the wrong amount

Payments are matched to your order by the exact amount shown at checkout, down to a unique fraction of a coin. If you send the wrong amount, we may not be able to automatically match and credit it. Contact support with your transaction hash before doing anything else — we'll do what we reasonably can to sort it out, but we can't guarantee recovery of funds sent incorrectly.

4. If something on our end went wrong

If you paid in full, the payment verified on-chain, and you genuinely didn't receive what you paid for due to a bug or mistake on our side, contact support. We'll fix it by delivering what you paid for (crediting Ghosts, applying Premium, etc.) rather than a cash refund, since a cash refund isn't possible for the reasons above.

5. Chargebacks and disputes

Cryptocurrency payments can't be charged back through a bank or card network, so this isn't something to worry about from a fraud-protection angle — but it also means there's no third party to appeal to if a purchase doesn't go the way you expected. Read what you're buying carefully before you pay.

6. Contact

Questions about a specific payment can be sent through the in-app support chat with your transaction hash ready.
